**PACKAGER UP TO $18/HR START ASAP!!!** **Job Description** In this position, you will be working directly with 2-5 others on one machine to efficiently package the finished materials as they are coming out of the machine. These machines are Roll Forming machines, and the main products they produce are metal shingles, siding, and gutters. Each machine will be operated by one Machine Operator II. Depending on the machine/product, you can expect to work with 2-5 other Packagers (Machine Operator I). Each product is visually quality checked to ensure no manufacturing defects are present. **Responsibilities** + Work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment, paying close attention to details. + Make boxes, package, palletize, and move products. + Use power tools such as drills, staple guns, and other pneumatic tools. + Learn to operate several machines and work with different groups daily. + Perform visual quality checks on products to ensure no manufacturing defects are present. **Essential Skills** + Packaging + Production + Strong attention to detail + Previous experience within a production/manufacturing environment + Ability to work well with others + Machine operating + Quality checking + General labor + Packing **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing/production environment + Mechanically inclined + Experience with hand and power tools + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide inches and pounds using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals + Ability to read and understand tape measures and calculators + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions + Ability to measure parts as part of quality checks + Bilingual (Spanish and English) is a plus **Why Work Here?** Eligible for up to 15% 401k match based on company performance (5% automatic match, up to 10% additional match with profit sharing based on company performance). Must be comfortable lifting 50-75 lbs on occasion. Work schedule is 1st shift from 7am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. The environment is not temperature controlled, and doors are open in the Summer, making it warm. Workers are exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and heat, with proper PPE and safety training provided.
