Job Description
MillerKnoll is looking for a Packaging Engineer to join our Global Supply Management organization. As a Packaging Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and implementing packaging designs at our Greenhouse Seating Operations site.
You will build momentum as force for change by engaging internal teams across product, corporate functions, and most critically within our seating manufacturing operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Act as primary Packaging Engineering support for Greenhouse Seating Operations Communicate and apply quality and engineering concepts with both internal and external resources, as required. Identify, prioritize, and lead strategic cost reduction initiatives/projects. Identify, prioritize, and lead single-use plastic reduction initiatives/projects. Identify, prioritize, and lead other continuous improvement projects related to safety, quality, distribution, and reliability. Work with New Product Development/Fulfillment Team to design, develop, test, and implement cost effective packaging designs for new product launches. Interact with suppliers, operations teams, material planners, and other cross-functional teams on a day-to-day basis. Develop and document packaging part specifications, packaging BOM specifications, and packaging process work instructions. Support returnable packaging design and maintenance between Tier 1part suppliers and GSO.QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
Bachelors' degree in Packaging Engineering 0-5 years in a professional packaging role with exposure to a variety of manufacturing processes and commodities.Skills and Abilities
Experience working in the furniture or related consumer goods industry is a plus Working knowledge of all aspects of business operations, including Finance, Accounting, Legal, Manufacturing, Materials Management, Engineering, Quality, etc. Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
