Packaging Engineer

Description

Central Pack is a centralized packaging team that relies on deep GMI packaging systems and processing expertise to drive project efficiency that unlocks capacity for all OUs. As the Central Pack Development Specialist, you will have a key role in the acceleration and execution of straight-forward packaging projects across all business units and brands. The Central Pack Development Specialist will work on a variety of project types including line extensions, PPA, HMM and Canadian lift and shift projects from charter through launch. You will cross functionally with team members that include Marketing, Packaging suppliers, FSQ, and packaging and product R&D. This role will be working in close partnership with the XDS (eXternal Development Solutions) team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Coordinate line extension, PPA and Canadian projects through GMI systems including gPLM, TOPS, and Eclips

• Collaborate with Marketing, OU Packaging R&D, Plant SEs, Sourcing, Vendors and cross-functional teams to execute projects

• Build and leverage an internal and external network to support and execute work

Additional Skills & Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous work experience in packaging

• Experience on multiple businesses or platforms

• Working knowledge of product formulation and product design

• 5 years of related experience (packaging material coordination for product launches)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $40.00
