Job Title: Packaging Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead and drive acceleration programs within our confectionary business unit. This role involves qualifying new external vendors and Tier-1 suppliers, facilitating internal and external discussions, and setting up specifications. The successful candidate will also manipulate pre-prepared products into new packaging materials.

ResponsibilitiesExecute, lead, and drive acceleration programs tied to the confectionary business unit.Qualify new external vendors and Tier-1 suppliers.Facilitate internal discussions and coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to establish specifications.Manipulate pre-prepared products into new packaging materials.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering.5 years of experience in packaging engineering.Materials expertise with films.Experience with carbons and corrugated packaging.Understanding of the mechanics of heat structures.Ability to handle raw products.Good communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsCommercialization skills.Vendor management experience.Work Environment

The work environment includes roughly 400 employees at the East Hanover site, with most employees working a hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week onsite). This position will require travel to a location north of Scranton to liaise with a new manufacturer. Free lunch is provided for all employees and consultants Tuesday through Thursday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $55.29/hr.
