**Job Title: Packaging Operator** **Job Description** The packaging operator is responsible for end-of-line work, including: - Packing finished product into boxes - Building new boxes to be used - Loading pallets with completed boxes - Using a manual pallet jack to move completed pallets from the area All responsibilities are broken into different stations. Operators will rotate throughout those stations during their shift. **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in HAGERSTOWN, Maryland. **Work Environment** This position is in a food manufacturing facility that is climate controlled. Packaging operators will be working in a climate set to 42 degrees, so it is important to wear layers to stay warm. The dress code includes sweatshirts (no hoods), sweaters, thermals, sweatpants, jeans, and heavy work pants with layers underneath. Safety shoes are required, with composite toe recommended over steel toe, but either will work. The company will provide a smock, gloves, hard hat, face shield, and hearing protection. The shift is until the work is done, often staying late. This shift is currently working 6 days a week with mandatory Saturdays, offering 1 Saturday off every month if business allows. 2nd shift offers a .25 shift differential.
