Packaging Operator
**Job Title: Packaging Operator** **Job Description** Setup, operate, and clear packaging line equipment and/or ancillary support equipment to meet efficiency expectations. Replenish packaging materials like wrapping paper, plastic sheets, boxes, cartons, and labeling systems including ink, glue, and paper. Inspect in-process packaging to ensure consistent quality and remove defective products and packaging materials. Segregate finished packaged items from machines that conform to specifications and separate rejected items. Conduct inventory counts on finished and rejected packaged items. Monitor packaging and filling operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products in accordance with standards. Monitor the packaging production line to prevent potential bottlenecks, pile-ups, jams, glue not sticking properly, or labels being stamped in the wrong location. Emphasize daily meeting of production standards, achieving product quality standards, and maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. Follow GMP practices, safe work habits, plant dress code, hygiene standards, and housekeeping requirements unique to the work area and job classification. The facility is smaller and climate-controlled. The first shift hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (Mon-Fri) at the Bond Facility and from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm (Mon-Fri) at the Lakeview Facility. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
