**Company Urgently Hiring Packaging Operator!!!** **Job Description** We are seeking a Packaging Operator to operate various production, packaging, and material handling equipment for the slitting, packaging, and shipping of films. The ideal candidate will maintain clean production, packaging, and shipping areas in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices. This role involves operating slitting and packaging machines, inspecting products, maintaining quality records, and ensuring correct data entry. Additionally, the Packaging Operator will perform preventive maintenance, identify faulty equipment, and comply with all GMP and safety regulations. **Responsibilities** + Operate slitting and packaging machines/equipment. + Inspect and measure product to verify conformance to specifications. + Maintain quality records and batch files. + Ensure correct data entry in the CAT system. + Operate quality equipment/tools to perform necessary quality checks and record results. + Perform preventive maintenance/maintenance responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor. + Identify faulty equipment, products, and processes, and immediately inform the Supervisor. + Comply with all GMP and Safety Rules and Regulations. + Maintain cleanliness of production, packaging, shipping, receiving, and break areas. + Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Experience with production, packaging, and material handling equipment. + Proficiency in using hand tools. + Ability to operate slitting and packaging machines. + General production and material handling skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + General Education Degree, one-year certificate from a college or technical school preferred. + One to three years of related experience and/or training. + Equivalent combination of education and experience. **Why Work Here?** We offer competitive benefits including medical plans, dental, voluntary vision, a 401k with employer match, 10 paid holidays, PTO, life insurance, production bonuses, short-term and long-term disability insurance. The second shift runs from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and ends at 8:15 PM on Fridays. Mandatory overtime, typically 1-2 hours, may be required. Physical demands include regular standing, walking, handling, and reaching, and the ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds alone and up to 220 pounds with a lift assist device.
