Job Description

The Packaging Operator I will work in a team environment to assemble filters and operate automated packaging equipment. In this role, you will perform all tasks conducted by the team in the manufacturing process and rotate through all or most of them rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis.

Working Scheduled: Tuesday through Friday from 5 AM to 3 PM 
 

Responsibilities:

Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules, including housekeeping practices; participate in EHS meetings, investigations, and auditsProactively communicate and address safety concernsAssemble filters and operate packaging equipment using prescribed manufacturing proceduresPerform LOTO (Lock-out / Tag-out) procedures as trainedPerform basic troubleshooting of area equipment and process issuesPerform in-process inspection of materials to ensure conformance with specifications; identify non-conforming material and filtersKeep accurate records of Lot numbers, Model numbers, and Serial numbersInput production data into a Network Database / SAP systemMaintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly mannerAid in the training of other employees on new or existing proceduresWork and cooperate well on a team to ensure team objectives are metAssist in the development of new processes to improve product quality and production efficiency and aid in the development of new product modelsFrequently lift and bend when manipulating materials to produce productPerform any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor, Facilitator, or Lead

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma / GEDAbility and willingness to wear personal protective equipment-- safety glasses, ear plugs, safety shoes, gloves, face shieldAbility and willingness to perform frequent lifting and bending motions with or without reasonable accommodation, as requiredAbility to use hand toolsAbility to learn, understand and implement all policies, practices, and proceduresStrong communication skills and ability to learn and understand all policies, practices, and procedures

Preferred:

Previous assembly or machine operation experienceMinimum of 2 years of manufacturing experienceBasic computer skills (Google Suite)

● Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles.  The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity.  Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $18.00
