Volt is immediately hiring an Packaging Specialist in Worth, TX!

\r\n\r\n

As a Packaging Specialist :

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPrepares medications for shipment to ensure integrity, sterility, and stability of drugs and supplies.\r\n\tElectronically tracks shipments to confirm on-time delivery throughout the day, Monday –Saturday until all packages are delivered.\r\n\tCommunicates directly to patients regarding expected arrival times, delays in delivery and explains recovery strategy in detail to manager.\r\n\tCoordinates the dissemination of information to patients (regarding holiday closings and unscheduled closings) via package inserts as approved by manager.\r\n\tReviews shipping manifests daily to confirm delivery address and delivery times.\r\n\tWorks closely with Pharmacy team regarding start dates, demographic information and alternate shipping addresses.\r\n\tReconciles shipping supply packing slips with invoices and forwards to manager with appropriate notations.\r\n\tReconciles carrier invoices with shipping manifest for accuracy in billing.\r\n\tProvides weekly shipping abstracts and usage reports to supervisor.\r\n\tResets shipping room at the end of each day (prepare for the next business day).\r\n\tMaintains and keeps clean the packing area and pharmacy by disinfecting countertops, vacuuming.\r\n\tMaintains orderliness in storage room and offsite storage unit.\r\n\tResponsible for locking and securing pharmacy, storage room, study drug area, and packing room at the end of each business day.\r\n\tHandles discarding of trash and cardboard and coordinates emptying times with contractor.\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Skills & Qualifications:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tHS diploma required.\r\n\tMinimum one year of experience in shipping and receiving preferred.\r\n\tExcellent customer service skills including.\r\n\tAbility to listen and interpret people’s dispositions.\r\n\tAbility to perform under pressure.\r\n\tCapacity for compassion regarding our cancer patients.\r\n\tExperience in area of shipping and dispatching.\r\n\tExperience with inventory management.\r\n\tFundamental knowledge of computers including.\r\n\tAbility to create and manipulate MS Word documents.\r\n\tAbility to create and manipulate MS Excel documents.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a Contract opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

Schedule: Monday – Friday 10:00am-7:00pm

\r\n\r\n

Location: Fort Worth, TX

\r\n\r\n

Duration: 5+ Months

\r\n\r\n

Pay:$17 - $18/hour

\r\n\r\n
