Packaging Supervisor

OVERVIEW:
The Packaging Supervisor will direct sugar packaging operations on rotating shifts. The supervisor will direct teams of specialized union employees ensuring good manufacturing practices and safe operating procedures. The supervisor will achieve standard production volume, quality standards, and regulatory compliance through the supervision of hourly personnel (up to 35) on rotating shifts.

EXPERIENCE:

2 years of experience working in a packaging operation preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team in an industrial setting or equivalent military leadership Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation Basic industrial electric background, computer, PLC programming, and mechanical troubleshooting skills Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices

EDUCATION:

Four year degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent military experience preferred High School Diploma or GED required

 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Up to 35 employees per shift

 

SALARY PAY RANGE: $61,000 - $114,000 plus bonus

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
