THIS POSITION HAS NO DIRECT MANAGEMENT OR SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION SUMMARY
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and pack cups from a cup packaging machine.
Check for quality of the product and ensures the product is packed into the proper corrugation.
Start cup-packaging machine and observes the operation to detect faulty bag sealing, proper lane sequencing,
and conveyor operation.
Remove sleeved cups from the machine and packs them into the proper corrugation.
Ensure the corrugation is properly labeled for the product that is coming from the cup-forming machine.
Inspect the cups for quality.
Notify the Operator/Lead Packer of any defects.
Ensure that all bags are properly sealed, prior to packing in the corrugation.
Check stack height of the sleeves.
Inspect contents of the sleeves to verify size, quantity, color, and brand of product.
Practice good housekeeping.
Keep area clean at all times.
Mount and threads the poly rolls through the machines.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Follow all safety rules, regulations, and policies.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Less than high school. No prior experience necessary.
Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls and
reach with hands and arms.
Good hand -eye coordination is essential.
Required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Regularly push or pull cart up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and normal color vision.
Occasionally exposed to fumes, or dust.
Work near moving mechanical parts.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations.
Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,
and decimals.
