The Packer will be in charge of operate packaging equipment to fill, label, stack, and stretch wrap product containers.


Compensation: $21.51/hr

Principal Accountabilities:

Operate packaging equipment to fill, label, stack, and stretch wrap product containersMonitor packaging equipment performance; make adjustments to equipment as necessary Record and review production data as required on log sheetsPerform product and packaging change-overs as scheduledRestock boxes, skids, and liners for next shift and current shift as needed Use pallet handling equipment to move product or packaging materials as requiredMaintain all production areas in a neat and clean conditionProperly account for any product rework  Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulationsOther duties as assignedFollow all Food Safety (HACCP), GMP’s, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental programs

Required Qualifications:

Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaCargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years oldAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Must be able and willing to perform with or without reasonable accommodation: bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting and lift a minimum of 50 poundsAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respiratorAbility to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance noticeBasic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Perform basic math tasksHigh school diploma or GED or 3 months or related experienceBasic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
