As a Packer, you will be handling a wide variety of products and materials.?The ideal candidate will have strong verbal communication skills, basic problem-solving abilities, and a team-oriented mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Packer **Location:** Chicago, IL (Bedford Park area) **Pay Range:** $25.00 Hourly **Shift:** ?6pm-6:30am (Mon-Tue-Fri-Sat or?Sun-Wed-Thur) **What's the Job?** + Mark and label containers, container tags, or products using marking tools. + Measure, weigh, and count products and materials to ensure accuracy. + Load materials and products into package processing equipment. + Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools. + Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools. + Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to meet packing specifications. + Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. + Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks. + Seal containers or materials using glues, fasteners, nails, and hand tools. **What's Needed?** + High school diploma or GED typically required. + 2-4 years of experience in a similar role. + Ability to lift heavy objects as required. + Basic knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures. + Strong verbal communication skills and a collaborative attitude. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. + Gain valuable experience in the light industrial field. + Work with a team of dedicated professionals. + Potential for permanent placement after initial training period. + Flexible scheduling options based on operational needs.
