**Job Title: Assembler and Packer** **Job Description** We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembler and Packer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing assembly and packaging tasks required in the manufacturing process of automatic doors. This position operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6am to 2:30pm, with potential flexibility in start and end times. **Responsibilities** + Perform assembly and packaging tasks as per job specifications under the direction of the Group Leader and/or Supervisor. + Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists. + Gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials for assembly. + Assemble sub-assemblies and components for correct fit, including headers, transoms, and door panels to established specifications. + Package products to established standards, ensuring proper labeling and quality. + Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs as needed. + Use hand tools to assemble and measure required parts. + Review parts, sub-assemblies, and final products for quality assurance. + Verify specifications by measuring completed components and reject if quality standards are not met. + Communicate with internal engineering and customer support regarding customer complaints and concerns. + Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying supervisor for additional resources. + Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. + Manage supplies inventory by checking stock levels, placing orders, and verifying receipt of supplies. + Document actions by completing production and quality forms. + Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. + Operate saw, lathe, and drill press to fabricate and assemble shaft components. + Use powered industrial trucks, manual pallet jacks, and gantry hoists to move materials. + Prepare parts for painting and perform light painting using aerosol spray cans as needed. + Clean equipment as required. + Inspect unassembled materials to ensure proper quantity, quality, finish, shape, and components as requested by the customer. + Retrieve and package parts using appropriate packaging materials, including bubble wrap, paper, cardboard, wooden crates, and skids. + Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. + Operate various production equipment such as weigh scales, staple guns, bagging machines, and thermo printers. + Use PC for assembly-related tasks. + Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. **Essential Skills** + Assembly + Packing + Production + Quality Control + Measuring + Mechanical Aptitude + Detail-oriented **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED required + Prior shipping and assembly experience + Dependable and mechanically inclined **Why Work Here?** This is a solid opportunity with a growing company.
