Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Assembler and Packer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing assembly and packaging tasks required in the production of automatic doors. You will work under the direction of the department Group Leader and/or Supervisor, executing daily production requirements and maintaining quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.Assemble sub-assemblies and components to established specifications.Package products to standards including headers, transoms, and door panels.Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs when necessary.Use hand tools to assemble and measure required parts.Verify specifications by measuring completed components and reject those that do not meet standards.Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.Manage supplies inventory by checking stock levels, placing orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.Operate saw, lathe, and drill press to fabricate and assemble shaft components.Use powered industrial trucks, manual pallet jacks, and gantry hoists to move materials.Prepare parts for painting by cleaning and hanging them in the paint booth; perform light painting using aerosol spray cans.Inspect unassembled materials to ensure proper quantity, quality, finish, shape, and components.Retrieve and package parts using proper materials such as bubble wrap, paper, cardboard, wooden crates, and skids.Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.Operate various production equipment including weigh scales, staple guns, bagging machines, and thermo printers.
Work Environment
You will work in a clean, high-tech environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to handle a high-pressure setting. The position involves working the first shift from Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm, with some flexibility in start and end times
