PACS Systems Analyst 2

Inova Health is looking for a dedicated PACS Systems Analyst 2 to join the Team. This remote role will be full-time day-shift working Monday – Friday.

The PACS Systems Analyst 2 maintains and facilitates implementations of systems, and databases to ensure optimum performance. Manages Information System project/products in order to provide automated solutions that meet Inova Health Systems business needs. Participates in system technical and application reviews to determine feasibility, cost and evaluate usefulness for Inova Health System. Assist in recruitment, development and training of existing and new employees. Communicates project and team status to internal and external audiences to keep project team informed.

PACS Systems Analyst 2 Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the management, troubleshooting and analysis of the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) within Inova Ensures the efficient operation of PACS and associated applications to support radiologists and other medical professionals in storing, retrieving and analyzing medical images. Responsible for the creation of standards of work, as well as training documentation for the support applications.  Evaluates requests for service and follows through as evidenced by completion of system evaluation forms and requirements documentation, in accordance with IT documentation standards. Communicates status and closure with vendors and end users through status reports and issues list and escalates to manager as required in accordance with established policy. Analyzes IT processes and workflow to identify alternative system or technology solutions. Provides input to application design to support system modifications or enhancements, as evidenced creating functional specifications, assisting end users in developing system requirements, and documenting system/user procedures in accordance with Technology Services standards. Responds to and supports system issues/requests and communicates with end user on status and closure of tickets as evidenced by following documented on call, downtime, and request for service procedures in accordance with Technology Services documentation standards. Assists in conducting system investigation to determine general feasibility, cost and alternative system solutions as evidenced by interviewing users to define requirements and objectives of automation, in accordance with established policy. Participates in ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of major systems, follows all Change Control and Security procedures in accordance with Technology Services and audit standards. Provides input to impact present and or proposed systems have/will have on the organization as evidenced by detailed cost/benefit, statistical and impact analysis.

PACS Systems Analyst 2 Additional Requirements:

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; remote Education: Associate degree; or HS Diploma/GED and 2 years of relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required Experience: 2 years of experience in supporting, developing, analyzing manual and automated system needs in a healthcare environment.

PACS Systems Analyst 2 Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred At least 2 years of previous experience doing high-level technical troubleshooting centered around PACS preferred.
