We are looking for a skilled Paid Media Manager to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. This role is pivotal in overseeing our media planning and execution to support business growth, enhance brand virality, and ensure effective use of media budgets. This role will have two direct reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong agency management skills, outstanding analytical abilities, and a strong understanding of digital and traditional media channels.
What You’ll Do:
+ Media Planning & Execution
+ Guide agencies to deliver comprehensive and innovative objective-based media campaigns and channel plans for EltaMD, PCA Skin, and Filorga brands within the US - with the support of two direct reports.
+ Develop test/fail/learn plans, partnering with vendors/platforms to accelerate paid media performance across channels including (but not limited to): social media, paid search, affiliate, consumer publications/digital direct, programmatic video &display, print/out-of home, and trade
+ Support direct-to-consumer, Amazon/e-retail and professional online sales channels driving consideration, purchase and loyalty
+ Identify quality base and growth target audience opportunities and determine the most effective media channels to reach them; drive use of known audiences in 80%+ suitable campaigns
+ Drive promotional media campaigns (ie sweepstakes, quizzes, and consumer sampling) to acquire new contacts, enrich customer knowledge, and activate experiences with these contacts
+ Partner with internal teams to deliver high-performing media assets and content within 360 campaigns
+ Agency Management
+ As primary agency contact for paid media, conduct regular performance and status meetings with agency teams
+ Ensure agency strategy input meetings, including competitive, audience, brand lift, and campaign insights are presented in regular and timely cadence
+ Develop and communicate monthly KPI benchmarks and media calendars with external context to ensure optimized pacing, bidding enhancements, channel performance and efficiency
+ Partner with agency and internal teams with annual brand experience planning leading to media budget and strategy briefing
+ Performance Analysis/Reporting
+ Regularly set and update YoY and MoM performance benchmarks used by agencies to ensure performance, efficiency, and alignment with business goals
+ Track campaign and channel performance against environmental context (timing, competitive) to enhance understanding of performance
+ Track and report business KPIs impacted by media, including traffic, engagement/earned media value, awareness, and penetration on weekly basis
+ Collect pertinent performance data for use in annual media mix modeling
+ Use internal reporting tools to extend creative performance and insights
+ Use data-driven approaches to adjust and improve ongoing media strategies.
+ Partner with agencies and internal teams to present comprehensive media performance reports to leadership
What We’re Looking for:
+ Proven record of leading paid media in a variety of platforms
+ Knowledge of display, programmatic, paid social, and paid search strategies and trends
+ Strong analytical propensity with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
+ Ability to organize work and drive projects across teams that are not directly reporting to you
+ Agile, action-forward mindset that is excels in an ever-changing media environment
+ Test/fail/learn mentality
+ Leader and team player with excellent interpersonal skills and experience managing a team
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field
+ 8+ years experience in media planning, strategy, or related roles
+ Demonstrable experience with media performance analysis and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
+ Familiarity with media mix modeling
+ Familiarity with customer data platform tools for known and unknown audience media integration
**Compensation and Benefits**
Salary Range $115,200.00 - $140,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
