The Paid Search Marketing Manager on the Amazon Ads Marketing team will drive brand, performance, event, and product marketing objectives through paid search globally. In this role, you will be the own paid search strategy, optimization, and operations for a variety of high profile KPIs and campaigns. You’ll partner with teams across the Amazon Ads organization to create campaigns tied to business objectives, optimizing spend, and measure results. This role is both strategic and hands on, responsible for having a vision to how paid search is part of our digital marketing experiences, but also able to do deep into the work to optimize, find trends, and manage campaigns.
The ideal candidate can easily balance data-driven strategic planning with flawless execution. They have a deep experience in paid search, and can leverage this background to know how to work at scale through automation, infuse creativity, and test (and test!) to drive results. Leveraging their proven creative, analytical and project management capabilities, they will imagine, plan, implement and optimize compelling campaigns and landing pages that drive business results.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and execute the paid search strategy for Amazon Ads marketing objectives.
- Partner with Amazon Ads marketing teams as the paid search subject matter expert, aligning business goals with tactical execution.
- Develop an iterative testing strategy to gain insights and continuously improve the customer experience through optimized messaging, bidding, landing pages, and targeting.
- Maintain a complete project schedule, and make it constantly visible to leadership and stakeholders.
- Develop KPIs and uncover channel insights to benchmark expectations and goals.
- Build reporting to analyze campaign performance and downstream business impact and optimize against key performance metrics. Present findings to business leaders.
- Work across digital marketing teams to collectively improve the digital marketing experience.
- Partner with SEO leader to develop a comprehensive search strategy.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience in multi-territory campaign management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing SEM campaigns from inception to execution
- Experience managing paid advertising budgets in platforms such as Google, Bing, Facebook, and YouTube
- Experience using any of the following Paid Search management tools: Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Ads Editor, Acquisio, Kenshoo, Marin Software, Quantic Minds, SA360 (DoubleClick Search)
- Experience managing SEM campaigns from inception to execution, across multiple countries and languages
- Analytical experience with BI tools like Tableau, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or Amazon QuickSight
- Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others, especially when working across teams and functions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
