**Job Title: Paint Prep Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Paint Prep Technician to join our team for the swing shift. You will work closely with the paint department to prepare metal parts for painting, which includes tasks such as sanding, masking, material handling, and painting finished products before shipment to customers. **Responsibilities** + Prepare surfaces to be coated by using power grinders and sanders to remove rust, scale, and weld splatter. + Prepare parts for painting by hanging items on racks and large items on carts or fixtures. + Move items to drying areas and prep parts for further painting or assembly. + Wash and mask areas not to be painted. + Mix polyurethane and epoxy coating materials with reducers, thinners, and hardeners to correct ratios. **Essential Skills** + Experience with hand and power tools. + Industrial manufacturing experience. + Proficiency in grinding. + Experience in paint preparation and metal finishing. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in sanding, masking, general labor, production, and material handling is preferred. **Why Work Here?** Join our team and enjoy working in a collaborative environment where your skills and contributions are valued. The swing shift hours are Monday to Thursday from 3:45 PM to 2:15 AM, with potential day shift training depending on scheduling. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
