Job Description
We are looking for a Simultaneous Engineer to join our dynamic team. The primary focus of this role will be on Paint PE Simultaneous Engineering, including new model introduction planning and development. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying vehicle change points, studying their impact on current processes and production, and ensuring new models meet safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards.
ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with stakeholders, including designers and production teams, to unify process requirements.Share and learn paint standards and requirements within the SE team and counterparts in Japan.Engage in day-to-day interactions with Paint SE members, Japan counterparts, and Pilot Production members.Support the Paint SE group in developing and updating Paint SE standard check sheets, benchmarks, and feedback from other projects.Plan and maintain overall project schedules.Develop planning standards.Utilize digital engineering, CAE, 3D modeling, and rapid prototyping to study and simulate processes during the design phase.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field.Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling software, including AutoCAD and Catia.Experience in project schedule planning and project management.Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).Mechanical engineering, project management, CAD, mechanical design, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, robotics, and engineering design expertise.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.Experience with digital engineering, CAE, and rapid prototyping.Familiarity with Toyota's processes and standards is advantageous.Work Environment
This is a completely onsite position, requiring local candidates. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with potential overtime and weekend/holiday work based on project needs. The role involves 10% travel, including international travel to Canada and Mexico. The position is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. We offer 10 PTO days and 9 paid holidays per calendar year, with time and a half compensation for hours worked over 40. All travel expenses for contractors are covered. This position offers a stable, long-term opportunity, with ample learning and growth potential.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
