Ledcor Highway Maintenance is now hiring Paint Truck operators with strong leadership skills and a safety-first mindset to support our highway maintenance team in the greater Edmonton area.

Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, organization, and teamwork will contribute to the success of our crews and the safety of the traveling public. In this role, you’ll support the Foreperson and work alongside our highway maintenance teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

Support the Foreperson in organizing daily work programs and accurately forecasting needs and requirementsMonitor work quality to ensure compliance with industry standardsOperate equipment on highways and work sites safely and efficientlyLead by example, consistently upholding Ledcor’s core values: safety, quality, integrity, sustainability, and successMentor and develop team members, fostering a strong and efficient crewEnsure prompt response to health, safety, and environmental concernsConduct regular equipment inspections and coordinate necessary maintenance with supervisors and equipment managersPerform minor equipment maintenance in-house and escalate larger repair needs as required

Qualifications:

2+ years of paint truck operations, loading procedures, and maintenanceValid Class  5, 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement and a clear 3-year driver’s abstractUnderstanding of provincial and/or municipal highway maintenance specificationsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalPrevious supervisory experience in a related fieldComputer skills are an assetAbility to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

Travel, shift work, on-call availability, and night shifts required during operating monthsAccommodations/Meal allowance/ LOA providedSpring/Summer Seasonal work : April- OctoberRRSP and benefits package providedWork locations span provincial and municipal highways across Alberta
