Overview Painter/Carpenter We are looking for a skilled painter to paint the interior and exterior of surfaces, buildings, and other surfaces. Mixing, matching, and applying paint to various surfaces, completing touchups, and coordinating large painting projects – 75% of the job. In addition, carpentry duties include various work order tasks and preventative maintenance pertaining to ceiling, wall, and floor finishes. Job Duties: Inspect places of the hotel and conduct repairs or maintenance. Remove and replace pictures and outlet and switch covers. Fill cracks and holes with putty or plaster. Taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed. Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, etc. Apply primers or sealers so the paint will adhere. Qualifications Technical Requirements: Proven experience as a carpenter Experience in tile and grout, refinishing wood, applying and removing wallpaper, and repairing dry wall required Knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques Great attention to detail High School diploma Completion of an apprenticeship Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $25.00/Hr. - $25.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
