Description Position at SBM Management

The Painter is responsible for mixing, matching and applying paint, varnish, shellac, enamel to surfaces including but not limited to wall, fence, floors, doors, and cabinets.  Also, responsible for cleaning, scraping, sandpapering, priming or sealing surfaces prior to painting.

Responsibilities:

Prepares walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, and removing old paint.Fills cracks and holes with appropriate material such as plaster.Mixes and matches paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.Paints surfaces according to instructions using various tools.Applies varnish and other finishes.Reads blue prints and instructions to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.  Calculates costs and negotiates prices.

Qualifications:

High school diploma / GED Proven experience as painterKnowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them.Knowledge of commercial or construction painting techniques.Knowledge of using appropriate tools such as brushes, caulking guns and etc.Compensation: TBDShift: TBDSBM Management Services, LP and its affiliates are proud to be equal opportunity workplaces.
