Job Overview:

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center is hiring for a Full-Time Painter in the Plant Operations Department. This is a Full-Time, Day position.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma or general education Degree GED; minimum of five years appropriate trade experience,Completion of acceptable apprentice program at an accredited union program, vocational or technical school,Must have proper certificates or licenses related to his/her particular skill,Successful completion of all Orientation Programs,

Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable remove when posting):

New Jersey drivers licenseNew Jersey blue seal stationary license or better

Essential Functions:

Under direction applies paint, spackle, wall covering and various surfaces from ground level and /or scaffolds, platforms, and ladders at various heights by using brushes, rollers, and spray guns, to prepare various surfaces for painting, and cares for and cleans standard painting tools: performs other related duties as requiredUtilizes skills to perform work as directed by manager or director,Performs work in any of the skilled trades as a mechanic or as an assistant to a skilled tradesman as requiredMaintains all building functions on patient floors and patient roomsDelivers timely and efficient building services to staff, patients and visitorsRemains available for routine and emergency service calls according to Medical Center needsWorks overtime as requiredProvides on-call maintenance coverage for the Medical Center for repairs, installations, snow removal, relief mechanic and other emergencies or schedules projectsEnsures that patient care is the number on priorityResponds to work in any work discipline as requested by Engineering supervisors, foreman or director, and performs to the best of his/her ability
