Our Painter is primarily responsible for applying proper painting techniques to components, engines, transmissions, cylinders and all types of vehicular equipment.

 

Hourly Base Rate: $21.52 - $43.84 /hour

Job duties:

Maintain work area, tools and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment while painting surfaces and using appropriate methods to include automotive grade finishesScrape, sandpaper, prime or seal surfaces prior to painting, set-up and operate machines to paint or coat products.Clean and maintain coating and painting machines and measure thickness and quality of coating, using micrometerExamine and test solutions, paints, products, and work pieces to ensure specifications are met while Operating auxiliary machines or equipment used in the coating or painting process.Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings or paints and adds to machineTravel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Ability to perform basic and more complicated mathematic fundamentals – add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsAble to compute rates, ratios and percentages to draw and interpret bar graphsAbility to wear proper PPE, including respirator and paint suitAbility to solve practical problems and offer innovative solutions to unique problems as well as interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formMust be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications

What will put you ahead:

Familiarity operating forklift, overhead crane and rigging, painting equipment including paint gun, basic hand tools, sanders and pneumatic toolsStable work historyMinimum one-year of experience as a skilled painter
