**Job Title: Painter** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Painter and Mechanical Assembler with over two years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment, familiarity with hand and power tools, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. **Responsibilities** + Read work orders and similar documentation to stage products for painting. + Prepare products for painting, including cleaning and masking the products. + Prepare paint (2-part epoxy) for use in the booth and in the hand spray guns. + Apply paint to various-sized parts, miscellaneous components, and valves. + Operate sandblaster machines, paint booths, and hand-held paint spray guns. + Operate fusion bond epoxy and oven when required. + Observe paint results for quality and make decisions regarding the acceptability of results. + Troubleshoot when product appearance is less than desired. + Operate and clean paint equipment, and check/adjust paint viscosity. + Clean and maintain the paint line, dispose of hazardous waste properly, and service/check chemical levels in appropriate locations. + Maintain quality expectations and hit daily production goals. + Use SAP software as needed. + Assist with lean activities and continuous improvement initiatives. + Maintain a clean and safe workplace. + Understand and adhere to safety guidelines while working near chemicals and paint lines, always wearing required personal protective equipment. + Perform other related duties as assigned by management. **Essential Skills** + Over two years of related painting and mechanical assembly experience. + At least one year of experience in a manufacturing setting. + At least one year of experience with hand and power tools, micrometers, calipers, and blueprints. + Ability to identify colors. + Ability to read and understand work instructions. + Commitment to excellence and high standards. + Ability to manage priorities and workflow. + Acute attention to detail. + Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance. + Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with SAP software is preferred. **Why Work Here?** We offer exceptional benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts (Medical and Dependent Care), and a Matching 401K Program. The environment can be noisy at times, typical of a manufacturing setting. The assembly area can be somewhat crowded due to parts laying on the ground. Steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses are required.
