Job Description

As a Painter, you will be responsible for selecting appropriate paint or mixing paints using automated paint mixing equipment. You will operate hand-held spray guns or other mechanized painting or product coating equipment, paint small items or apply touch-ups using paint brushes, and operate related equipment and tools which may include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders (portable & bench), hand tools, and a tape measure. You will be required to keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturers' instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, and completing daily check sheets. Reading, understanding, and following job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures are crucial. You must maintain a high level of work performance in accordance with company standards and job order specifications. Additionally, you will participate in process and product development and improvement programs, teams, and safety committees, and maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) required includes hearing protection, safety glasses, safety boots with metatarsal guards, and face shields. The team size includes pairs of welders working together to build chassis, with the company employing over 100 individuals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgman, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00
