Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team in an industrial metal shop setting. This role involves operating industrial painting equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring a high-quality finish on metal parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
ResponsibilitiesSafely set up and operate industrial painting equipment.Read blueprints and shop drawings.Mix and prep paint, ensuring color and texture consistency throughout all parts.Prep parts by masking, cleaning, and deburring.Maintain a clean work station.Communicate effectively with teammates and supervisors to promote a safe and productive work environment.Operate overhead crane to move parts.Essential SkillsPrevious industrial painting and/or powder coating experience on metal parts.Ability to read blueprints.Experience with mixing paint and using paint sprayers.Knowledge of paint prep, including sanding, blasting, and using a paint booth.Ability to wear PPE such as a full mask.Comfortable lifting parts up to 50lbs and standing for the entire shift.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong attention to detail and ability to multitask.Punctual and has reliable transportation.Comfortable working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in an industrial metal shop specializing in the fabrication of bridges, commercial, and industrial buildings. The position follows a swing shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 4:30pm to 2:30am, with a training schedule on the day shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm. This environment requires adherence to safety protocols, including the use of PPE.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.00
