Job Description

Role

The Painter, will be reporting directly to the Field Engineer (Mechanical). The position includes, but not limits to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces and repair surfaces according to instructions with various tools for Ultrafiltration (UF)/ reverse osmosis (RO) plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Painter is responsible to perform the below tasks but not limited to,

Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paintMixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfacesBlend paints and other materials to achieve the right color or texture and paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.Handling planning and prep work in an efficient mannerPreparing the surrounding area by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messesMoving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the projectCalculating the amount of materials and time required for said projectTaping off areas as neededChoosing and purchasing paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors.Obey and maintains high EHS performance on the site accomplishments for all maintenance activities.Optimize and assist with the development of operational quality system procedures/guidelines/documents for Water Treatment.Ensures to adheres to EHS & Quality processes and procedures, Checks job sites for potential hazards and reports when things against company policies.Maintains appropriate housekeeping for plant facilities cooperating with other departments.Ability to work independently most of the time, but report to his supervisors.

QualificationsTrade certificate/ITI.Proven experience as a painter, at least 3 years work experienceExcellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply themSolid knowledge of commercial painting techniquesConscientious with great attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively in English.Ability to work on prioritized & emergency needs of the plant maintenance.Ability to establish and maintain relationship with co-workers & supervisors.

DESIRED CHARESTERICTS

Experience in water/wastewater treatment plant activities.Working experience in GCC country.
