Job Title: Structural Steel Painter
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Structural Steel Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for painting I-beams and other structural metal components for bridges and construction sites. This role requires experience with wet coat painting and operating an overhead crane to move, load, and unload steel beams. Additionally, the candidate will handle the grinding of steel beams to ensure an even distribution of paint.

Work Environment

This position is in a structural steel company that combines production and construction environments. The role requires wearing steel-toed boots, and PPE such as hardhats, safety goggles, and respirators when needed. Safety is taken very seriously due to the high risk of serious harm in case of an accident. Despite the serious nature of the work, the team enjoys a good camaraderie and often jokes around.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
