Job Title: Industrial Painter – Steel Fabrication & Bridge Components

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for prepping and painting steel beams and bridge components for large-scale fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting, including sandblasting, prepping surfaces, and applying both powder coating and liquid-based paints to steel surfaces. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities:Surface Preparation: Blast and sand steel beams and bridge components to remove debris, rust, and old coatings, ensuring a clean surface for painting.Painting: Apply industrial coatings, including powder coat and liquid-based paints, to steel parts using spray guns and other tools to ensure smooth, durable finishes.Paint Mixing: Mix paints and coatings according to specifications to achieve the desired consistency and color.Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces for quality, ensuring an even coat and adherence to industry standards.Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe work environment.Required Skills & Qualifications:1-4 years of experience in sanding, blasting, and preparing metals or parts for painting.1-4 years of experience working in an industrial setting, particularly with fabrication projects.Experience with both powder coating and liquid-based painting techniques.Ability to operate a spray gun and other industrial painting tools effectively.Strong understanding of industrial paint prep, including sanding and blasting to achieve a clean surface for coatings.Preferred Skills & Experience:Experience in painting large-scale components such as steel beams and bridge parts.Knowledge of quality control measures for paint finishes, ensuring long-lasting durability and high-quality appearance.Experience Level:Intermediate Level: 1-4 years of hands-on experience in industrial painting and paint preparation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
