**Job Title: Painter** **Job Description** Working in the paint shop area of an aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operation, the Painter is responsible for applying coatings onto various aircraft parts such as rotor heads, transmissions, engine cases, fuel controls, and rotor blades. Occasionally, the Painter will also paint the interior or exterior of heavy-lift helicopters. This position supports the effective operation of heavy-lift helicopters used for firefighting, infrastructure, supply, aircraft rebuild, and other services for domestic and international customers. Primarily using epoxy and polyurethane paints, and HVLP paint guns. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret maintenance manuals. + Handle, mask, prepare for paint, and paint aircraft components and surfaces. + Seal, prepare, mask, paint, and re-paint aircraft structures and structural repairs. + Document all inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in the appropriate maintenance records. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of painting industrial metal parts or vehicles/vehicle components (typically automotive or production/manufacturing). + Experience using a computer ERP system or similar to track parts or processes. + Highly skilled in masking and HVLP painting. + Must be a US Person per client ITAR regulation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience painting aircraft is highly preferred. **Why Work Here?** Join a leading heavy-lift helicopter company with opportunities to grow into other roles, join field teams (with A&P), and have a long career and retirement. **Work Environment** The component division of the MRO facility works in the paint area. The initial schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm for several weeks, then will transition to a swing shift, 2 pm - 10:30 pm. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
