You will...
• Support the 4 Suffolk County locations with Painting and other duties. This includes Avalon Huntington Station, Avalon Melville, Avalon Commons and Avalon Amityville.
• Work with the maintenance and office teams to strategize on needs
• Handle general carpentry when necessary, including but not limited to: hole patching, spackling etc.
• Assists in efforts to make vacant apartment homes rent-ready in a timely manner and performs turnkey work as required
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Address minor maintenance issues such as light bulb replacement, paint touch-ups, and furniture assembly.
• Provide friendly and responsive customer service, addressing residents' needs and concerns in a courteous manner.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a positive resident experience.
• Completing work orders as necessary

You Have:
• 2-3 years of work in maintenance with an emphasis on painting and general carpentry
• A valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate with our associates and residents in order to provide customer service.
• Ability to read and understand policies and procedures including but not limited to Key Control Policy, Apartment Home Turnover Policy and all Maintenance Emergency policies and procedures.
• Ability to identify cleaning and chemical supplies, ability to read and understand Hazard Communication Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ability to understand proper applications of chemicals and general cleaning supplies and ability to frequently handle these products.
• Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ability to use properly.
• Demonstrates knowledge of paint types and paint tools.
