Job Title: Painter Helper

Job Description

Join our team as a Painter Helper where you will support the production process by assisting with painting tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role involves cross-training in various areas such as dressing, packaging, painting, grinding, CET printing & stamping. You will be an integral part of a team that manufactures diamond blades and core bits for the construction, stone, and mining industries.

2nd Shift 4:00pm-12:30am, Open to 1-2hr OT Daily and OT on Sat *Train on 2nd Shift - takes about 2 months to get hang of it*

*Some sort of production experience and ok working with paint*

ResponsibilitiesAssist in painting parts and molds as per job ordersMix paint (acetone, water) and prepare spray gun for usePerform painting using a spray gun in a paint booth with suction air to reduce paint sprayRead, understand, and follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and job ordersInspect materials being produced or packed and perform required testsCommunicate effectively and report any issues to the supervisorMeet production goals in a timely manner and work flexibly within a teamPerform inspections of materials as defined in standard operating proceduresEssential SkillsBasic understanding of production environmentsAbility to work in fast-paced settingsBasic math skillsMechanical aptitudeWillingness to lift up to 50 lbsReliability and consistent tenure in previous rolesNo prior paint experience requiredAdditional Skills & QualificationsComfortable working with paint and acetoneAbility to work with hand tools and perform machine operations and grindingAbility to frequently lift up to 35 lbsExperience in general labor, packaging, and production preferredWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment includes both 1st and 2nd shifts with around 120 employees. PPE such as steel-toed shoes and safety glasses are required. You will be working in a warehouse setting with erratic temperature control (hot in summer, cold in winter). The workshop environment may be subject to heat, cold, noise, dust, and other particles. Operation of large equipment and machinery such as production machines and forklifts is common. Physical demands include frequent lifting, standing, sitting for extended periods, and repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
