Maintenance Person Responsibilities:\n\nDiagnoses problems and performs general repairs and maintenance on The Arc Wayne properties to include, but not limited to, painting, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.\nPerforms painting (interior and exterior) and cleaning as required.\nServes as backup for other agency maintenance team members and assists in emergency situations as required. This can include accepting emergency calls during off hours.\nAssists with projects as deemed appropriate, including light janitorial duties, landscape maintenance, snow removal, and emergency movement of people and\/or furniture within The Arc Wayne.\nConducts periodic inspections of all safety equipment to ensure they are in working order and assist in training staff in safety processes and procedures.\nAssists in the development and implementation of Agency Preventative Maintenance Program and maintains adequate records to efficiently implement PM Program.\nMaintains an inventory of agency tools and supplies and maintains a tool sign-out log book.\nAssists with overseeing maintenance systems and operations, including but not limited to maintaining the work order tracking system.\nOther duties as assigned\n\n

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8am-4pm) with flexibility for agency's needs\n

Maintenance Person Qualifications:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent or relevant experience in general maintenance to include painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds.\nMust have available a personal reliable vehicle.\nMust possess a current, valid NYS driver's license.\n\n
