Pay:   $19.00 per hour. Occasional (OT). Additional positions could pay even more for additional experience!

Overview

Set up and maintain the production line for safe palletizing, labeling, and stretch wrapping of doors.  Performs general manual labor tasks including wrapping, lifting, and moving materials. Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.

What you will do:

Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with attention to detailKeep palletizer stocked with empty pallets to permit non-stop operation of the palletizerBuild pallet using Pneumatic staple gun and cardboard wrapPalletize prefinished door onto correct pallet according to store number, ensuring door(s) are properly secured to palletReport any product/packaging issuesUtilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processesPalletize, brace, and wrap with stretch film using automated equipmentAbility to read and follow instructions per order specificationsRelies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobMaintain a safe and clean work environmentHousekeeping duties including all forms of warehouse cleanupWorks under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/managerMeasure and count products and materialsOther duties as assigned

What you will need:

Preferably one year experience in manufacturing settingHS Diploma or GED preferredAble to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular fieldKnowledge of palletizing process to ensure that orders are correct based on store number and customer demandKnowledge of door typesKnowledge of Pneumatic toolsAbility to work independently and effectively in a team environmentPrevious warehouse/manufacturing experienceAbility to stand and work for 8–10 hours per dayWillingness to work overtime when neededAbility to organize and maintain detailed recordsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment and can multi-taskRead tape measure to 1/32" inchAbility to lift to 50+lbs.Ability to speak, read, and write English with proficiencyAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos•Regular attendance and timeliness are an essential function of the job in order to avoid any disruptions in production and customer serviceFollow all operational and safety SOP’s as writtenPerforms other miscellaneous jobs as directed
