Responsible for the operations of one or more automated machines or equipment for the production of aluminum cans Must keep lines flowing, make continuous quality checks, & minor adjustments to conveyor belts and various factory equipment Accurate and continuous quality checks and recordkeeping required Understand and follow verbal instructions to completion of assigned tasks   Keeps Production Supervisors/Managers informed of operational status of equipment and production issues Follows standard operating procedures.  Must work effectively in a team environment  Operates console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack on pallets finished cans.  Reads production and delivery schedules and stacking pattern to determine sorting and transfer procedures, arrangement of cans on pallet, and destination of loaded pallet.   Observes cans moving along conveyor to identify cans and to detect defective cans. Turns selector switch on palletizer to control stacking arrangement of packages on pallet and to transfer loaded pallet to storage or delivery platform. Performs quality checks and documents results Ensure the proper operation o equipment with empty pallets. Stops equipment to clear jams. Informs supervisor of equipment malfunction. May keep record of production and equipment performance. May operate depalletizing equipment. Performs other related duties as required Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized
