Provides palliative care professional consultation services for patients and mentors and models palliative care principles for clinical staff. Mentors residents, students, fellows and medical staff in palliative care and provides teaching, as needed.

WellSpan is currently seeking a full-time Palliative Care physician. The successful candidate will help staff the clinic and York Hospital.

Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required orLicensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire RequiredCourses and Training:
Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice or Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice or Internal Medicine. Upon Hire Required andHospice and Palliative Care Certification through the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or if a DO, through the Osteopathic Board process. Upon Hire Required andCompletion of a Family Practice or Internal Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required andMust qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of the Hospital. Upon Hire Required andHarvard Palliative Care Training. Upon Hire Required andProof of Added Competency in Palliative Care (e.g., Decisions Near the End of Life Faculty, EPEC faculty, CMEs related to Palliative Care/End of Life Care, other).
