Paper Mill Process Technician

The Paper Mill Process Tech will be based out of Macon, Georgia (1897 Allen Road, 31216) and will be reporting to the Paper Mill Operations Leader, the Process Tech is responsible for the operation of the stock, water, broke and chemical systems on the tissue machine. The Process Tech is responsible for operating within compliance with regional codes and safety standards. This is a permanent, full-time position.

 Job Requirements 
Minimum: High School or GED equivalent is required Preferred: 5 years Paper Mill Experience Computer systems aptitude and PC skills are preferred Good written and verbal communication skills are preferred High attention to detail is required Experience in a Manufacturing environment is preferred
The main duties/responsibilities of this role include: 
Maintain the Daily Operations of Paper Mill & Pulp Prep Keep all LOTO up to date and modify when we find issues or install new equipment  Maintain an awareness of safety procedures and identify safety hazards and recommend safety improvements and risk assessments as needed Review daily quality data to make sure we are meeting the established standards. When test data or sheet appearance is out of standard develop plan to get back to standard within 24 hours Assist in developing training and assessment process for Paper Mill Operators. Review logbook documentation, centerlines, test data, sheet break data, daily down time and daily production Assist in optimizing all systems and processes to help deliver the expected results Brand change standard work development. Owner of Centerlines for all grades Daily rounds are completed to make sure the equipment is running properly Assist in Developing the operations work plan for all maintenance days, short downs, and annual outages  Assist in developing time-based model work orders for all operations maintenance work Assist in optimizing the machine, logic and all supporting systems and equipment to allow our operators to have an efficient running operation that is user friendly
