Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking qualified candidates for two Para-educator positions with a company in Erie, PA. These are 1st shift positions with a pay rate of $15.84/hour
Para-Educator
Shift: 8:15am-3:15pm Monday through Friday
Pay rate: $15.84/hour

Job Duties Participate in maintaining a healthful and therapeutic environment for students. Report significant changes in behavior attitudes or physical condition of Students to a higher lever staff person. Encourage students to cooperate with the treatment program by giving positive reinforcement and support as needed. Participate in relaying written or oral instruction to other personnel involved in the student’s program. Perform non-instructional duties (i.e., meeting bus/van) as directed by teacher. Conduct planned instructional sessions (i.e., work individually or with small group of students) as directed. Developing classroom programs as directed. Assist teacher with recreational activities (i.e., supervising playground) as directed. Complete daily routine tasks of collecting lunch money, taking attendance, and completing AIS forms as directed. Assist in the care of classroom furniture. instructional materials and A/V equipment as directed. Supervise classroom in teacher's absence. Supervise volunteers, foster grandparents and practicum students in teacher's absence. Assist with student transportation as necessary (either driving or as an aide with Learning Center transportation). The Para Educator position requires that you work a summer program in the Children and Youth Service Line as needed. Qualifications
Associates degree, 2 years of post secondary study or completion of the Paraprofessional Assessment to satisfy Section 11199d) Existing Paraprofessional of the No Child Left Behind Act. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Other Attend 20 hours of in-service per year (July through June) including the following mandatory in-services: Basic Medical, Fire and Safety, Lifting, Incident and Accident Reporting and any others required by supervisor. Be aware that duties may be added or deleted from the position as deemed necessary by Director. Demonstrate knowledge regarding fire and emergency evacuation procedures and equipment. Understand that added work or irregular hours may be required due to government agencies or funding source requests for special assignments. Understand that other duties and assignments may be added or deleted as necessary due to funding requirements or regulations. Be aware that student programming is determined by the IEP, approved by responsible school district. The IEP is a legally binding contract. Work Duration
