Crotched Mountain School & Village, a program of Seven Hills New Hampshire, is looking for a year-round Paraeducator to join our outstanding team of professionals dedicated to enhancing the lives of our students.

 

About Crotched Mountain School:

Crotched Mountain School (CMS), a program of Seven Hills New Hampshire, hosts innovative special education, recreation, arts, music, and vocational programming for students, aged 5-21, who are on the autism spectrum, and/or have disabilities and other challenges that are better supported in an alternative, least-restrictive environment to their local public school system. Students have the option to live year-round in the appointed residences on the sprawling campus located in Greenfield, New Hampshire. Situated on thousands of acres of preserved habitat, CMS offers a therapeutic environment in which students are encouraged to explore and thrive.

Role Overview: As a Paraeducator, you'll support students with disabilities in a structured environment, assisting with behavior management and academic goals.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Ensure a safe and consistent environment for studentsEnhance instructional strategies with specialized skillsSupport the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and behavior plansAssist educators in devising strategies to reinforce skills and positive behaviorsParticipate in planned activities with students, both on and off campusMay include personal care such as toileting, showering, dressing, feeding, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

Accompany and assist children throughout daily activitiesMonitor and collect data on student progressSupport students across various school settingsParticipate in training and meetings Qualifications Must be 21 or olderHigh school diploma or equivalentBachelors/Associates Degree in a related field preferred but not requiredExperience with individuals with disabilities (preferred)Physical requirements include (but not limited to) bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting/standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs.
