Title: Paralegal, Franchise Transfers
Compensation Range: $76,000 - 90,000
Location: Louisville, KY (or remote in EST time zones)

Your Recipe for Impact: Lead Franchise Transfers: Manage all legal aspects of franchise transfers, restructures, and estate pipelines, ensuring everything meets our brand standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Development, and Operations to fully vet proposed transfers and ownership changes. You’ll ensure every detail is on point. First Point of Contact: Be the primary contact for franchisees and their counsel to resolve legal issues. You’ll elevate matters to attorneys when necessary, keeping everything on track. Draft & Review Legal Docs: Create and review KFC document packages for transfers and ownership changes. Make sure everything from franchisee obligations to franchise fees is properly captured and compliant. Analyze & Negotiate: Independently analyze franchisee transactional documents for compliance, and negotiate routine revisions with franchisees and their counsel, keeping KFC’s policies front and center. Support M&A: Assist with preparing documents for restaurant divestitures and provide additional support to the M&A process as needed. Keep Everyone Informed: Represent the legal team in weekly cross-functional meetings, providing updates and collaborating with partners on transaction progress. What You’ll Serve Up: Transfer & Restructure Management: Lead the charge on franchisee transactions, ensuring compliance and brand standards from start to finish. Document Accuracy: Draft and review legal documents with precision, ensuring all necessary information is captured and compliant. Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with various teams, from Finance to Operations, ensuring smooth legal processes. Legal Analysis: Conduct research and analyze legal issues, resolving discrepancies and answering questions related to franchise agreements. What’s in It for You? You can navigate Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and other digital tools with ease, and you’re always looking for ways to leverage tech to streamline processes. Detail-Oriented Dynamo: Your attention to detail is impeccable, and you have the organizational skills to match. Self-Starter: You’re highly motivated, able to work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Team Player: You collaborate effectively with internal and external teams at all levels, bringing a positive, professional attitude to every interaction.
