About the role:
The Paralegal for Data, Digital, Cyber (DDC)Legal will report to the Global Head of Data, Digital, Cyber.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
Project managing DDC Legal matters, including ongoing collaboration with Global Legal, Compliance and Risk stakeholders, around AI, IT, Data Governance and Digitization initiatives, facilitating communication across teamsAssisting in legal researchHandling legal due diligence intake/escalation emails to coordinate DDC legal team rotationConducting legal/regulatory horizon scanning and collating regional DDC legal items into master global spreadsheetManaging transfer impact assessment emails related to data transfersAssisting in contract review regarding privacy, cybersecurity and AI legal issuesAssisting with preparation of presentations, reports, and memorandaPerforming other related duties and ad hoc projects as requiredThe ideal candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor's degree2+ year of paralegal, project management, or relevant experienceSelf-starter who can work with minimal supervisionSuperb organizational skillsMust be very collaborative, highly organized, able to multi-task, deadline oriented, detail-focused and able to interact with senior leaders and a variety of stakeholdersExcellent communications skillsExperience working in the Financial Services and/or Technology sectorsAt AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
