Description We are in the process of expanding our team and are currently in need of a Paralegal based in Washington, District of Columbia. This role is integral to our operations and requires a strong understanding of federal regulations. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough research and analysis on federal and state legislation and regulations • Keep Senior Management updated on the status of various issues • Play a pivotal role in developing public policy positions by tracking and analyzing national, state, and international legislative and regulatory activities that impact business • Draft advocacy communications including regulatory comments, testimonies, and meeting materials • Contribute to Government Affairs communications by drafting newsletter stories and issue updates • Keep track and report on relevant developments from Congressional Quarterly and the Federal Register • Develop and inform advocacy positions • Anticipate new rules or regulations that are likely to be released by the FTC and prepare responses accordingly • Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently • Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies or related field • Proven experience as a Paralegal is highly desirable • Proficiency in Federal Banking Regulation, Federal Government Reporting, and Federal Guidelines • Familiarity with Federal Regulation and Federal Rules • Knowledge of Legal Regulatory procedures and Regulatory Compliance • Ability to handle Regulatory Documents and Regulatory Reporting • Understanding of Regulatory Reporting Requirements and Regulatory Research • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
