Description Our client is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal to join their Fredericksburg office. This role will be instrumental in providing legal support within our organization, focusing on various areas including workers' compensation, personal injury, and civil litigation. Responsibilities: • Drafting and preparing legal documents and correspondence. • Assisting attorneys with tasks related to litigation, particularly in the area of workers' compensation. • Managing and organizing deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks. • Preparing discovery requests and responses as part of the legal proceedings. • Regular communication with the clerk's office to facilitate legal processes. • Performing administrative duties which include faxing, mailing, emailing, and scheduling. • Monitoring and managing legal case files and documents. • Collaborating with attorneys and clients to prepare for trial. • Ensuring compliance with legal procedures and policies. • Researching and analyzing legal issues related to ongoing cases. Requirements The ideal candidate MUST have the following skills: • Must have litigation experience, ideally in one of the following areas of law: personal injury, medical malpractice, workers' compensation, or civil litigation. • Must be familiar with Civil Litigation procedures and practices in Virginia. • Must have experience providing Litigation Support in a legal setting. Other Qualifications: • Proficient understanding of Personal Injury Law. • Ability to handle Discovery, Discovery Requests, and Discovery Responses in a legal context. • Experience dealing with Medical Malpractice cases. • Familiarity with Workers Comp Law and Workers Compensation procedures. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Proficient in legal research and writing. • Strong ethical standards and professional integrity. • Bachelor's degree in law or relevant field. • Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
