Description Robert Half has an immediate need for a paralegal to support a law firm in Frisco, Texas. This is a long-term contract opportunity with potential to go permanent. Key Responsibilities: + Assist attorneys in labor and employment litigation, including case preparation and trial support. + Manage and organize litigation documents and correspondence. + Draft and file legal documents, motions, pleadings, and discovery responses. + Coordinate and communicate with government agencies and regulatory bodies (EEOC, etc.). + Conduct legal research related to labor and employment matters, including civil service laws, collective bargaining, and meet-and-confer procedures. + Track case progress through PACER and maintain an organized case docket. + Prepare exhibits, witness lists, and other trial materials. + Maintain and update client files and ensure compliance with deadlines. + Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. + Utilize Microsoft Office for document creation, organization, and presentation. Requirements Qualifications: + Experience in labor and employment law within a municipal setting. + Proficiency in PACER and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). + Knowledge of Civil Service Act, collective bargaining, and meet-and-confer agreements. + Familiarity with EEOC processes and government agency interactions. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. + Paralegal Certificate is NOT required, but relevant experience is essential. Preferred Qualifications: + Previous experience working in a municipal law firm. + Familiarity with local government processes and labor laws.
