Description Robert Half is partnering with an Intellectual Property litigation firm that is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their team in Chicago, Illinois. The firm is rated U.S. News Best Law Firms for Litigation/Patent, 2020 – Present. Responsibilities: • Offer administrative assistance to litigation attorneys, handling tasks such as scheduling depositions and maintaining case files • Manage court dockets effectively, including entering dates, monitoring court-ordered deadlines, and communicating with attorneys to ensure compliance • Oversee eDiscovery databases; demonstrate expertise in document review and production • Draft, revise, and format a variety of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to court rules and procedures • Conduct research and develop a thorough understanding of court rules and procedures • Provide support during trials, including preparing for trial and assisting attorneys as needed • Perform cite checking and Bluebooking to ensure references and citations in legal documents are correct • Maintain open lines of communication with clients and opposing counsel Requirements Qualifications: • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a paralegal role • Experience managing 2+ federal trials required (preferably within IP but open to any complex civil litigation experience) • Ideally proficient or experience in Nextpoint, DocketNav, Westlaw, and Microsoft Office This is a direct hire opportunity that offers a competitive base salary (up to $145k dependent on experience), hybrid flexibility, and a comprehensive benefits package.
