Description Patent Specialist An Am Law 100 law firm is looking for an Intellectual Property Specialist to join their team out of their Denver, CO office. The Patent Specialist should have 5 plus years of patent prosecution legal assisting/paralegal experience. Responsibilities: Participation with a committed team of patent specialists, paralegals, docketing specialists, and attorneys Work with different types of IP databases (ePCT, USPTO, Espacenet, WIPO, etc.) Drafting shell amendments in response to domestic and foreign actions Tracking and managing IP dockets Generate and maintain client portfolios Qualifications: MUST have 5+ years of intellectual property experience in a law firm setting Ability to work fully in-office in Denver, CO Team player, solid communication skills, interest in bringing your creativity and passion to work Experience with both patent and trademark Knowledge of both domestic and foreign intellectual property processes and policies. The IP specialist will have a billable hour requirement of 750 hours a year! The firm offers a very competitive salary and excellent benefits. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal • Proficiency in using Case Management Software is essential • Experience with CompuLaw is required • Must be adept at handling Billing Functions • Knowledge of Briefing processes and techniques is necessary • Calendar Management skills are required • Must have experience in Claim Administration • Excellent Communication skills are necessary • Must have understanding and experience in Patent Law • Familiarity with Foreign Patent processes is required • Demonstrated knowledge of Intellectual Property - Patent is essential • Experience with Patent - US Prov - Utility - Des - PCT is necessary • Must have experience in managing Patent Applications • Experience in handling Patent Portfolio is required • Must be skilled in Patent Preparation • Experience in Patent Prosecution is necessary • Must be capable of conducting Patentability Searches • Proficiency in handling Patents is required • Knowledge of U.S. Patent procedures and regulations is necessary Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
