Description Position: Litigation Paralegal – Insurance Coverage Focus Location: Hybrid (Washington, DC Metro Area) or Remote for the Ideal Candidate Salary: $75,000 – $120,000 A small, highly regarded law firm is looking for a full-time Paralegal to support a busy litigation team focused on insurance coverage cases. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with solid organizational skills who can handle a fast-paced workload and operate with a high degree of independence. Key Responsibilities - Prepare, draft, and distribute legal documents such as correspondence, deposition notices, motions, orders, and discovery materials - Conduct cite checking and ensure compliance with legal citation standards - Provide litigation support, including trial preparation and assistance with research and courtroom materials - Review and audit invoices for compliance with established billing guidelines - Handle e-filing in various jurisdictions and manage case deadlines across multiple venues - Organize and maintain case files, including managing correspondence, pleadings, and discovery documents - Assist in deposition preparation, document review, summarizing transcripts, and privilege log compilation - Coordinate expert witnesses and manage witness communications and scheduling - Maintain calendars and track important deadlines Requirements Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of experience in litigation; experience with insurance-related cases is a plus - Strong organizational and communication skills with a high level of accuracy - Experience with bluebooking - Familiarity with state and federal procedure - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting with minimal oversight - Proficiency with case management software, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other legal tools - Familiarity with various legal applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Westlaw, document management software, and legal billing platforms preferred This position is ideal for a motivated paralegal looking to build on their experience within a specialized area of law.
