As a Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting our Litigation attorneys, Global eDiscovery & US Corporate Records Manager, and Litigation Case Managers/Senior Paralegal.
Your contributions will be essential in streamlining legal processes and ensuring effective case management. You will be instrumental in gathering information, conducting research, and assisting with document preparation, all aimed at achieving successful litigation outcomes and maintaining compliance. As a Paralegal, you create chemistry by...Gathering factual information for discovery and conducting document searches, ensuring thorough review and organization of documents.Managing claim and subpoena investigations, including opening and closing matters in the matter management system/database.Drafting case summaries and preparing reports from matter management systems while maintaining and updating databases.Coordinating with in-house and outside counsel, clients, and performing legal and internet research as needed.Reviewing and updating legal hold lists, analyzing offsite records for data integrity and destruction eligibility, and staying updated on relevant recordkeeping laws.Providing support on electronic data remediation projects and assisting the BASF Corporate insurance group with claims, coverage letters, and insurer communications.If you...
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or a High School Diploma/GED equivalent, with a Paralegal Certification preferably from an ABA-accredited program.Have 1-5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, handling diverse matters such as asbestos, product liability, toxic tort, patent, and commercial litigation.Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, enabling effective interaction with outside attorneys, senior management, and business associates.Demonstrate strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow up as necessary.Are adept at working independently with limited supervision while also being a collaborative team player, capable of adapting quickly to change.Have strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and the ability to multi-task and manage various legal projects effectively.Create your own chemistry with you@BASF
